General surgery is performed for a broad range of common health conditions that require surgical treatment. General surgeons have vast experience in acute abdominal problems.
At Mount Stuart Hospital our general surgeons run regular outpatient clinics, offering convenient and local appointments, to diagnose and discuss treatment options for general surgery. We offer a full diagnostic service to perform tests including endoscopic exam, ultrasound, x-ray, MRI and CT scan.
Our well regarded consultant general surgeons will operate on common abdominal complaints including: hernias, painful gallbladder, appendicitis, anal fissure, anal fistula, lumps and bumps, haemorrhoids, pilonidal sinus and large lipoma.
General surgery at Mount Stuart Hospital is performed using minimally invasive surgery where appropriate. If required, our general surgeons can refer on to or work with other specialists within the hospital.
We are very proud to be working alongside some excellent General Surgery Consultants, who are highly respected in their speciality and come highly recommended by previous patients. All of our consultants go through regular validation to ensure that they work to the highest possible standards and remain up date with current practice.
